Italian singer/author Andreacarlo began his passion for music during childhood, observing the musical instruments in the company of his father. He trained as a musician and sound designer in the early 2000’s, creating music for events, fairs, commercials, and video games, all while acting as frontman and singer of the Decò band, with whom he published the EP, “Canzone d'autunno,” in 2007 for Nomadism Records.
After his band experience, Andreacarlo co-authored soundtracks for short films between 2011 and 2013. In 2020, he returned to pop music as a soloist with the single “Andràtuttobene,” written during the lockdown, followed by, “Il Mondo di Domani,” “Alti e bassi,” and “PPP,” released on the anniversary of the death of Pier Paolo Pasolini. In 2021, he reached the regional finals of Sanremo Rock & Trend with “Il Mondo di Domani.”
Andreacarlo’s lastest EP, “Alle 4 Del Mattino,” was released on December 3, 2021.
Il cantante/autore italiano Andreacarlo ha iniziato la sua passione per la musica durante l'infanzia, osservando gli strumenti musicali in compagnia del padre. Si è formato come musicista e sound designer nei primi anni 2000, creando musiche per eventi, fiere, spot pubblicitari e videogiochi, il tutto in qualità di frontman e cantante della band Decò, con la quale ha pubblicato l'EP “Canzone d'autunno”, nel 2007 per Nomadism Records.
Dopo l'esperienza con la band, Andreacarlo è stato coautore delle colonne sonore di cortometraggi dal 2011 al 2013. Nel 2020 è tornato alla musica pop come solista con il singolo “Andràtuttobene”, scritto durante il lockdown, seguito da “Il Mondo di Domani, "Alti e bassi" e "PPP", usciti nell'anniversario della morte di Pier Paolo Pasolini. Nel 2021 ha raggiunto le finali regionali di Sanremo Rock & Trend con “Il Mondo di Domani”.

What inspired you to become a musician?
Cosa ti ha ispirato a diventare un musicista?
I have always "felt" the music inside. Over time I learned to listen to it and try to grab it and put it "on tape" before it dissolved.
Ho sempre “sentito” la musica dentro. Con il tempo ho imparato ad ascoltarla e a tentare di afferrarla e metterla “su nastro” prima che si dissolvesse.
How old were you when you started playing (music)?
Quanti anni avevi quando hai iniziato a suonare?
At 15 I started with the electric guitar; I was already strumming the acoustic guitar ... I was a boy scout as a child and a boy, so I couldn't help but be able to play at least a little bit of acoustic guitar!
A 15 anni ho cominciato con la chitarra elettrica, strimpellavo già la chitarra acustica… ho fatto i boy-scout da bambino e da ragazzo; quindi, non potevo non saper suonare almeno un po’ di chitarra acustica!

Several presentations of the disc: at the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan, at the Officina della Musica in Como and then other locations, at least six or seven appointments which, however, we are continuing to postpone due to restrictions.

Where would your ideal concert be?

Good question. I'd like to say San Siro, but my voice wouldn't be heard. An environment where you can also talk to tell each other between one song and another and listen.
Bella domanda. Mi piacerebbe dire San Siro, ma la mia voce non si sentirebbe. Un ambiente dove si possa anche parlare per raccontarsi tra una canzone e l’altra, e ascoltare.
What is your favorite song to perform?

Given that in my second musical life that began in 2017 I played a live after thirteen years of not going on stage and immediately everything stopped again (this time for pandemic causes, not mine) ... among mine I would certainly say Il mare a Milan. Years ago, I particularly enjoyed playing R.E.M.'s “Imitation of Life.”
Premesso che in questa mia seconda vita musicale iniziata nel 2017 ho suonato un live dopo tredici anni che non salivo su un palco e subito si è fermato tutto di nuovo (stavolta per cause pandemiche, non mie) … tra le mie sicuramente direi Il mare a Milano. Anni fa mi piaceva particolarmente suonare “Imitation of Life” dei R.E.M.
Which famous musicians do you admire?
Quali musicisti celebri ammiri?
Above all Bruce Springsteen, more than as a musician, as a man who makes music. Then many others: Michael Stipe, Morrissey, and the great Franco Battiato. But I could go on and on among the Italians Eugenio Finardi is another whom I admire not only as a musician but also as a man.
Su tutti Bruce Springsteen, più che come musicista, come uomo che fa musica. Poi tanti altri: Michael Stipe, Morrissey, e il grande Franco Battiato. Ma potrei continuare a lungo: tra gli italiani Eugenio Finardi è un altro che ammiro non solo come musicista ma anche come uomo.
What is the best advice you’ve been given?
Qual è il miglior consiglio che ti è stato dato?
I was 15 and had the honor of speaking simultaneously with Luigi Schiavone and Maurizio Solieri, guitarists of Ruggeri and Vasco. My father introduces me like this: "My son plays the guitar too!" I sink with shame and stammer "but I'm not good!" Solieri tells me “You can also give a picking and that's it, the important thing is to give it with your heart." Now I don't know if the phrase was just a circumstance, but today I'm a poor guitarist but with a lot of heart, so I write. It helped me.
Avevo 15 anni ed ebbi l’onore di parlare in contemporanea con Luigi Schiavone e Maurizio Solieri, chitarristi di Ruggeri e Vasco. Mio padre mi presenta così: “anche mio figlio suona la chitarra!” Io sprofondo di vergogna e balbetto “ma non sono bravo!” Solieri mi dice “puoi dare anche una pennata e basta, l’importante è darla con il cuore.” Ora non so se la frase fosse solo circostanza, ma a oggi sono uno scarso chitarrista ma con tanto cuore, quindi scrivo. Mi è servito.
If you could change something about the Music Industry, what would it be?
Se potessi cambiare qualcosa nel settore della musica, quale sarebbe?
Put the power back into the hands of the musicians. Which would mean streaming single pay streams, albeit minimal. Unconventional opinion, I know. But now the music is adapting to the dissemination tool, and this is a limitation of creativity, as well as a decrease in earnings.
Rimettere il potere nelle mani dei musicisti. Il che significherebbe mettere gli ascolti in streaming a pagamento singolo, anche se minimo. Opinione controcorrente, lo so. Ma ora la musica si sta adattando allo strumento di diffusione e questa è una limitazione della creatività, oltre che una diminuzione dei guadagni.
