Edoardo Gastaldi is a young pianist and aspiring music composer. Inspired by the sounds of different artists, his music is a combination of steady, ethereal soundscapes held together by a few leading instruments. The genres in which his music can be related to are New Age, Neoclassical, Compositional Ambient, Classical Electronics, and Soundtracks.
Gastaldi’s latest single, “Jóhann's Flight,” was released on December 3, 2021.

What inspired you to become a musician?

I didn't have a particular inspiration or enlightenment.
This passion was born by experimenting and has become increasingly robust and present thanks to a growing personal interest, developed over the years.

Questa passione è nata sperimentando ed è diventata sempre più robusta e presente grazie ad un crescente interesse personale, sviluppatosi negli anni.
How old were you when you started playing (music)?

I started playing a keyboard for the first time at the age of 16.
Later I moved on to studying the piano.
Ho iniziato a suonare per la prima volta una tastiera all’età di 16 anni.
Più avanti sono passato allo studio del Pianoforte.
How would you describe your music?
Come descriveresti la tua musica?
Referring to the few instrumental pieces I have published so far, I would use the following adjectives to describe my music: serious, introspective, reflective, experimental, interpretable, ambient.
I think it is important to clarify that what has been said does not define my music as such, but rather provides a personal instant vision of it.
Musical evolution will be an ever-present factor in me and therefore I could use different descriptive terms in the future.
Riferendomi ai pochi brani strumentali che ho pubblicato sino ad ora, utilizzerei i seguenti aggettivi per descrivere la mia musica: seria, introspettiva, riflessiva, sperimentale, interpretabile, d’ambiente.
Ritengo importante precisare che quanto detto non definisce la mia musica in quanto tale, ma ne fornisce piuttosto una personale visione istantanea.
L’evoluzione musicale sarà un fattore sempre presente in me e perciò in futuro potrei utilizzare differenti termini descrittivi.

I have never performed actual performances. I have played for family members, relatives, and small groups of people, in private homes or outdoors.
For the moment I have nothing planned in this regard.

Everywhere, I don't have an ideal place; the only thing that I consider important is the creation of a climate of reflection, inspiration, and unity.

I would like people to invest more effort in the creative and productive act rather than in the promotional, commercial or image one.
Knowing that an art such as music is often affected by the consumerist system is not pleasant.
Vorrei che le persone investissero un maggior sforzo nell’atto creativo e produttivo piuttosto che in quello promozionale, commerciale o d’immagine.
Sapere che un’arte come la musica risente spesso del sistema consumistico non è piacevole.
What is a message you would like to give to your fans?
Qual è un messaggio che vorresti dare ai tuoi fan?
More than fans, I consider them friends, acquaintances or simply listeners.
In any case, I would like to convey first of all, a feeling of perseverance and dedication.
Whatever goal you deem appropriate to achieve, do it, carry on your ideas even if you do not yet see the results clearly.
Obviously, this advice must be combined with a little wisdom and reasoning.
Più che fan li ritengo amici, conoscenti o semplicemente ascoltatori.
Ad ogni modo mi piacerebbe trasmettere innanzitutto un sentimento di perseveranza e dedizione.
Qualsiasi obiettivo riteniate opportuno raggiungere, fatelo, portate avanti le vostre idee anche se non ne vedete ancora i risultati in maniera nitida.
Ovviamente questo consiglio va abbinato ad un po’ di saggezza e ragionamento.

I have several projects to carry out in the not-too-distant future, for example in the first months of 2022 I will finish a new unreleased song, entirely instrumental.
