Alfredo Bruno, also known as “FIAT131,” is a Calabrese singer-songwriter who alternated between the Indie and R&B scenes. The FIAT131 is a car that was produced by the Fiat Group between the years 1974 and 1985, and it is the car that Bruno’s grandfather drove when he was a child. It was in that car, the Mirafiori model, where he began to be passionate about the songwriters of the past and found his first loves.

What inspired you to become a musician?

I grew up listening to the greatest Italian and international artists, I listened to the records of Dalla and Stevie Wonder and I wanted to be able to one day have in my hands a record containing my music and my words. I believed in it, and I worked to be able to do it.
Sono cresciuto ascoltando i più grandi artisti italiani ed internazionali, ascoltavo i dischi di Dalla e di Stevie Wonder e desideravo di poter un giorno avere tra le mani un disco contenente la mia musica e le mie parole. C’ho creduto e ho lavorato per poterlo fare.
How old were you when you started playing (music)?

I started studying singing at the age of 14 and then piano at 18.

Certainly melancholy, I like to tell in my songs the stories I have lived and the feelings that have most marked me, both in a positive and negative way.

I performed in several places before starting a new path as the Fiat 131, in this period we are working on the first record, and we have not set any dates yet.

Which famous musicians do you admire?

In this historical period, I am listening to Dario Brunori and Franco126 a lot, they are two artists that I respect a lot, Dario and I among other things bear the name of the same city on the documents. I like the combination of the melodies and the lyrics that they elaborate, I find them sincere and direct. But surely what I admired and will continue to listen more is Lucio Dalla.
In questo periodo storico sto ascoltando tantissimo Dario Brunori e Franco126, sono due artisti che stimo tanto, io e Dario tra l’altro portiamo il nome della stessa città sui documenti. Mi piace il connubio tra le melodie e i testi che vanno ad elaborare, li trovo sinceri e diretti. Sicuramente però quello che ho ammirato e continuerò ad ascoltare di più è Lucio Dalla.
What is the best advice you’ve been given?

That of never being satisfied, of working to ensure that everything is exactly as I imagined it.

If you could change something about the Music Industry, what would it be?
Se potessi cambiare qualcosa nel settore della musica, quale sarebbe?
I don't think it's me who has to change the mechanics of the music industry, I've never thought about it.

More than a message, it is a wish, to always get excited with the songs.
