Dydo è uno dei pochi cantautori della scena rap italiana. Con "Huga Flame", ha pubblicato 5 album che hanno ottenuto il successo nazionale su Rai 2, TG Rai 3, Trl MTV, Deejay Tv, Hip Hop Tv, ed è stato anche vincitore del premio MEI 2008 "Web Group of the Year".

A partire dal 2012, Dydo ha intrapreso una carriera da solista. L'anno successivo esce il suo primo album da solista, "Schiavo dei sogni". Nel 2015, Dydo ha ottenuto l'attenzione del web, dei giornali e della critica grazie al suo progetto "Fantasma". Il progetto di una sorta di caccia al tesoro, diretto in 52 città (italiane ed europee), in cui Dydo ha spinto i fan ad uscire di casa per "rubare" l'album in modo del tutto alternativo e innovativo con lo slogan "Esci e agisci... conquista i tuoi sogni."

Dydo ha pubblicato due mixtape, "Dark Night" (vol.1 e vol.2) nel 2016, così come il progetto "Instarap", che consiste in una raccolta di 10 tracce in extrabeat. "Dark Night Mixtape, Vol. 3" è stato rilasciato nel 2018. Un nuovo percorso è iniziato nel 2019 con la sua pubblicazione di "Tacchi & Jordan", che ad oggi ha superato i 119.000 stream. Quel dicembre è uscito il suo singolo "Mi salverai", che ha già superato i 500.000 stream ed è entrato a far parte di "Viral 50 France" e "Viral 50 Greece".

L'ultimo singolo di Dydo, "Scegli me", è stato pubblicato a luglio 2020.

Dydo is one of the few songwriters on the Italian rap scene. With "Huga Flame," he has released 5 albums which received national success on Rai 2, TG Rai 3, Trl MTV, Deejay Tv, Hip Hop Tv, and was also the winner of the 2008 MEI "Web Group of the Year" award.

Starting in 2012, Dydo embarked on a solo career. The following year, he released his first solo album, "Schiavo dei sogni." In 2015, Dydo gained attention from the web, newspapers, and critics because of his "Fantasma" project. The project of treasure hunt of sorts, directed in 52 cities (Italian and European), in which Dydo pushed fans to leave the house to "steal" the album in a completely alternative and innovative way with the slogan, "Go out and act ... conquer your dreams.”

Dydo released two mixtapes, "Dark Night" (vol.1 and vol.2) in 2016, as well as the project "Instarap," which consists of a collection of 10 tracks in extrabeat. Cosa ti ha ispirato a diventare un musicista?

What inspired you to become a musician?

La scrittura... Ho sempre scritto, fin da ragazzino, i miei pensieri e quello che non riuscivo a dire, a comunicare... In seconda superiore ho scoperto il rap e per me è stato spontaneo provare a scrivere in chiave rap tutti i pensieri che prima annotavo semplicemente sul mio diario.

Writing ... I have always written, since I was a child, my thoughts and what I could not say, to communicate ... In the second grade, I discovered rap and it was natural for me to try to write all thoughts that I used to simply write down in my diary.

Quanti anni avevi quando hai iniziato a suonare?

How old were you when you started playing (music)?

A 16 anni ho scritto i miei primi testi rap e a 18 anni ho inciso il mio primo progettino in studio... nello stesso anno ho portato dal vivo il mio primo show in qualche piccola situazione live.

At 16 I wrote my first rap lyrics and at 18 I recorded my first project in the studio ... In the same year, I had my first show in some small live situation.

Come descriveresti la tua musica?

How would you describe your music?

Emozionale, viscerale e personale... scrivo tanto, di tutto quello che mi colpisce, e da un pò di tempo a questa parte ho levato i miei filtri e non censuro più nulla. Penso che la mia musica sia perfetta se ascoltata di notte... quando hai voglia di sognare e di isolarti dal mondo che bussa alla finestra.

Emotional, visceral and personal ... I write a lot, about everything that strikes me, and for some time now I have removed my filters and no longer censor anything. I think my music is perfect if listened to at night, when you feel like dreaming and isolating yourself from the world knocking on the window.

Dove ti sei esibito? Hai dei prossimi concerti?

Where have you performed? Do you have any upcoming shows?

Ho fatto oltre 500 concerti nella mia carriera, dal bar senza palco, alle piazze piene di gente... per me cantare dal vivo è tutto, ma purtroppo questo periodo di covid ha bloccato il processo live... ne soffro un pò perchè per me il palco e i concerti sono essenziali, quindi attendo con ansia il momento di tornare a suonare dal vivo, anche perchè ora ho una nuova band con cui sto organizzando uno show del tutto inedito.

I have done over 500 concerts in my career, from the bar without a stage, to the squares full of people ... For me, singing live is everything, but unfortunately this period of covid has blocked the live process ... I suffer a little because for me, the stage and the concerts are essential, so I look forward to returning to play live, also because now I have a new band with whom I am organizing a completely new show.

Dov'è il luogo del tuo concerto ideale?

Where is your ideal place to perform?

Più che il posto, ti indicherò quali sono le persone che dovrebbero popolare i miei concerti... sognatori e sognatrici, pronti ad emozionarsi e a lasciarsi andare per un'ora e mezza di voci che si uniscono alla mia.

More than the place, I will show you who the people are that should populate my concerts ... dreamers, ready to get excited and let themselves go for an hour and a half of voices that join mine.

Qual è la tua canzone preferita da esibire?

What is your favorite song to perform?

"Occhi di cristallo"... la sento talmente mia che a qualche concerto l'ho cantato in lacrime... per i miei Dreamers è il pezzo che non può mancare in scaletta... 3 minuti dove mi confesso senza filtri e censure.

"Occhi di cristallo" ... I feel it so deeply, that at some concerts I sang it in tears ... For my Dreamers, it is the piece that cannot miss the lineup ... 3 minutes where I confess without filters and censorship.

Non pensare a chi si lamenta e vuole frenarti, scrivi e agisci.

Don't think about those who complain and want to hold you back, write and act.

Se potessi cambiare qualcosa nel settore della musica, quale sarebbe?

If you could change something about the Music Industry, what would it be?

Fai arte perchè hai urgenza di comunicare qualcosa... sei tu che dirigi la tua arte esattamente dove vuoi farla arrivare... più rispetti il tuo credo e i tuoi valori e più l'arte arriverà a persone che si rispecchiano in ciò che comunichi... "tempo", ogni artista dovrebbe prendersi il tempo per coltivare la propria arte... quindi se potessi cambiare qualcosa direi ad ogni artista di non dare un tempo alla propria arte, di non voler tutto e subito... se al tuo sogno non dai un tempo prestabilito, vivrò per sempre.

You make art because you have an urgent need to communicate something ... It is you who direct your art that is exactly where you want it to go ... The more you respect your beliefs and values, the more art will reach people who reflect themselves in what you communicate. .. "time", every artist should take the time to cultivate their art ... so if I could change something I would tell every artist not to give their art a time limit, not to want everything immediately ... if it's your dream don't give a set time, it'll live forever..

Qual è un messaggio che vorresti dare ai tuoi fan?

What is a message you would like to give to your fans?

I miei fan li chiamo Dreamers... in un momento in cui sembra diventato impossibile sognare, io invece cerco di mettere in risalto il sogno, dicendo di non mollare mai. Per me è stato così... quando il progetto Huga Flame ha visto la fine, in tanti mi avevano dato per finito... ma io negli anni ho tenuto duro e ho continuato ad insistere sul mio percorso e dopo anni e sacrifici finalmente oggi posso dire che i miei Dreamers mi hanno ripagato e continuano a farlo ogni singolo giorno.

I call my fans Dreamers ... at a time when it seems impossible to dream, I instead try to highlight the dream, saying never to give up. For me it was like this ... when the Huga Flame project saw the end, many had given me up ... but over the years, I have held firm and continued to insist on my path and after years and sacrifices finally today I can say that my Dreamers have paid me back and continue to do so every single day.

Tra poco uscirà il nuovo singolo molto singificativo ed entro la primavera del 2021 uscirà anche il mio secondo romanzo per un'importante casa editrice... basta seguire i miei social per avere tutte le news che ci saranno nei prossimi mesi.
