L’Iperuranio è il progetto di songwriting del musicista italiano Nicola Bertocchi. Nato a Trieste nel 1980, l'adolescenza di Nicola è stata fatta di racconti e poesie, fino a quando ha ottenuto la sua prima chitarra. Fu amore a prima vista. Prese in prestito un manuale di accordi e in poco tempo nacquero le sue prime canzoni.
La carriera musicale di Nicola è iniziata con una chitarra e con molte cover band. A metà degli anni 2000, ha creato L'Iperuranio, ispirato da Platone e dall'idea che ora non si inventa nulla. Al massimo puoi solo "ricordare" e rielaborare cose che già esistono. Durante il suo viaggio ha incontrato Nicola Ardessi, tastierista e produttore. I due hanno iniziato a fare demo fatte in casa. Dopo diversi anni di collaborazione, hanno selezionato diversi brani da inserire in un album "che prima o poi avrebbe dovuto essere fatto". Il progetto è stato un processo lento, poiché L'Iperuranio ha iniziato la rielaborazione di quelle canzoni. Alla fine del 2019, il suo album di debutto, "Postimpressionismo", è stato pubblicato sotto l'etichetta LaPop.
“Senza esagerare, le riprese sono state a dir poco avventurose. Ci siamo trovati in balia della natura, alcuni a nuotare in un ruscello ghiacciato, altri a scalare stretti sentieri di ghiaia portando due zaini. Tanta fatica. Ma ne è valsa la pena. "
La canzone "Madrenatura" è stata scritta quasi dieci anni fa. Fu solo nell'ultimo anno e mezzo L'Iperuranio decise di raccogliere tutte le opere realizzate e di racchiuderle in un album. Nonostante i diversi periodi storici in cui le canzoni sono state scritte, i brani mantengono un filo conduttore che li lega sia dal punto di vista del testo che del suono, mescolando rock e sintetizzatori. Il risultato è un pezzo accattivante su cui è impossibile stare fermi. In breve tempo ti ritrovi a canticchiare il ritornello.

L’Iperuranio is the songwriting project by Italian musician, Nicola Bertocchi. Born in Trieste in 1980, Nicola’s adolescence was made up of stories and poems, until he obtained his first guitar. It was love at first sight. He borrowed a chord manual and in a short time, his first songs were born.
Nicola’s musical career began with a guitar and with many cover bands. In the mid-2000’s, he created L'Iperuranio, inspired by Plato and the idea that now nothing is invented. At most you can only "remember" and rework things that already exist. During his journey, he met Nicola Ardessi, a keyboardist and producer. The two started making homemade demos. After several years of collaboration, they selected several pieces to be included in an album "that sooner or later should have been done". The project was a slow process, as L’Iperuranio began the reworking of those songs. At the end of 2019, his debut album, "Postimpressionismo," was released under the LaPop label.
“Without exaggerating, the shoot was nothing short of adventurous. We found ourselves at the mercy of nature, some swimming in a frozen stream, some climbing very narrow gravel paths carrying two backpacks. So much effort. But it was worth it."
The song, "Madrenatura," was written almost a decade ago. It was only in the last year and a half L’Iperuranio decided to collect all the works done and enclose them in an album. Despite the different historical periods in which the songs were written, the pieces maintain a common thread that binds them both from the point in the lyrics and sound, mixing rock and synthesizers. The result is a captivating piece on which it is impossible to stand still. In a short time, you find yourself humming the chorus.

What inspired you to become a musician?
In adolescenza scrivevo molto. Poesie, flussi di coscienza, racconti. Al tempo stesso avevo una gran passione per la musica. Quando ho scoperto che un mio amico aveva imparato a suonare la chitarra da solo, ho provato a farlo anch’io. Dopo pochi giorni avevo scritto la mia prima canzone...Diciamo che è capitato con naturalezza...
In adolescence I wrote a lot. Poems, streams of consciousness, stories. At the same time I had a great passion for music. When I discovered that a friend of mine had learned to play the guitar by himself, I tried to do it too. After a few days I had written my first song ... Let's say it happened naturally ...
Quanti anni avevi quando hai iniziato a suonare?
How old were you when you started playing (music)?
Diciannove. Un paio d’anni dopo, ho avuto la mia prima (e unica) esperienza in una cover band.
Nineteen. A couple of years later, I had my first (and only) experience in a cover band.

How would you describe your music?
Come la prima traccia del mio disco: “ViscereSinapsi”.

Tasto dolente. Dopo aver fatto la “data 0” la scorsa estate a Trieste, al Lunatico Festival, stavo organizzando con la band il concerto di presentazione del disco a inizio 2020. Per le note vicissitudini, la cosa è stata posticipata a data da definirsi. Diciamo che nel 2021, quando sarà possibile, voglio intanto organizzare la “presentazione postuma del disco”.
Sore button. After having made the “data 0” last summer in Trieste, at the Lunatico Festival, I was organizing the concert for the presentation of the disc with the band at the beginning of 2020. Due to the well-known vicissitudes, this has been postponed to a date to be defined. Let's say that in 2021, when it will be possible, in the meantime I want to organize the “posthumous presentation of the album”.
Dov'è il luogo del tuo concerto ideale?
Where is your ideal place to perform?
Un teatro o un piccolo club. Un po’ paradossale, perché il live che abbiamo imbastito è molto energico e si presterebbe a luoghi più grandi e all’aperto. Tuttavia adoro gli ambienti più raccolti, dove il pubblico è vicino e il suono si prende tutto lo spazio.
A theater or a small club. A bit paradoxical, because the live we have set up is very energetic and would lend itself to larger, outdoor venues. However, I love more intimate environments, where the public is close and the sound takes up all the space.
Qual è la tua canzone preferita da esibire?
What is your favorite song to perform?
“L’Altalena”, che ha una versione molto più rock di quella su disco e “(Non)essere” che è molto “danzettosa”.

Quali musicisti famosi ammiri?
Which famous musicians do you admire?
Il mio gusto si è formato con Morgan/Bluvertigo, Benvegnù/Scisma e Daniele Silvestri. Oggi, lo dicono anche i miei ascolti di Spotify, ammiro tantissimo Riccardo Sinigallia (che in passato ha prodotto “La Descrizione di un Attimo”, dei Tiromancino, uno dei miei dischi della vita).
My taste was formed with Morgan / Bluvertigo, Benvegnù / Scisma and Daniele Silvestri. Today, my listening to Spotify also says so, I admire Riccardo Sinigallia (who in the past produced “La Descrizione di un Attimo”, by Tiromancino, one of my life records).
Qual è il miglior consiglio che ti è stato dato?
What is the best advice you’ve been given?
Ne ho ricevuti molti e utili. Ma il migliore me lo sono dato da solo “Non importa che ti ascoltino in 2 o in 200mila. Fai la musica che sei e non quella che il mondo si aspetterebbe”.
I have received many and useful ones. But I gave myself the best “It doesn't matter whether 2 or 200,000 listen to you. Make the music you are and not what the world would expect ”.
Se potessi cambiare qualcosa nel settore della musica, quale sarebbe?
If you could change something about the Music Industry, what would it be?
Mi piacerebbe che, come una volta, avessero più peso i dischi (e i progetti che ci stanno dietro) rispetto ai singoli a vanvera.
I would like the records (and the projects behind them) to have more weight than the nonsense singles, as in the past.
Qual è un messaggio che vorresti dare ai tuoi fan?
What is a message you would like to give to your fans?
Come dico in “Dopo la Pubblicità”, “Senti come siamo tutti quanti, particelle equidistanti, con la propria identità”.
As I say in “Dopo la Pubblicità”, “Feel how we are all, equidistant particles, with our own identity”.

Ho concluso la scrittura del secondo disco. Quindi conto di registrarlo nel 2021, magari facendo uscire già qualcosa...
