Classe 1989, Marco Conte è un artista italiano di Gallarate, VA. Il cantautore e autore è stato il frontman della band pop punk The Fhackers (Rec Lab Studios e Pan Music Production), prodotta con Phaser Studios. Ha studiato canto con Antonio Marino e Laura Ciriaco (The Voice 2017), e songwriting con Nyvinne (Sanremo Giovani 2018, Amici 2019). Marco è attualmente iscritto al VMS di Milano (Loretta Martinez) dove studia con Andrea Leprotti e Domenico Vena. Ha partecipato e partecipa tuttora a diversi concorsi di canto nazionali ed internazionali. Si è esibito a Sanremo come ospite de Il Vinyl d'Argento. Tra gli ultimi premi e riconoscimenti per le sue canzoni. Ha ricevuto; Young Festival di Radio Bruno, Premio Folcioni, Bonola Sound Music Contest, Varedo in Canto, Festival di Arese, Festival di Chieri, Cantanti per passione di Strano Francesco. Scrive e produce per diversi artisti emergenti: Deborah, Lisa Selmi, Giorgia Pastori e altri.

Born in 1989, Marco Conte is an Italian artist from Gallarate, VA. The songwriter and author was frontman of the pop punk band The Fhackers (Rec Lab Studios and Pan Music Production), produced with Phaser Studios. He studied singing with Antonio Marino and Laura Ciriaco (The Voice 2017), and songwriting with Nyvinne (Sanremo Giovani 2018, Amici 2019). Marco is currently enrolled in the VMS of Milan (Loretta Martinez) where he studies with Andrea Leprotti and Domenico Vena. He has participated and still participates in various national and international singing competitions. He performed in Sanremo as a guest of Il Vinyl d'Argento. Among the latest awards and prizes for his songs. He has received; Young Festival di Radio Bruno, Premio Folcioni, Bonola Sound Music Contest, Varedo in Canto, Festival di Arese, Festival di Chieri, Cantanti per Passione di Strano Francesco. He writes and produces for various emerging artists: Deborah, Lisa Selmi, Giorgia Pastori, and others.

Cosa ti ha ispirato a diventare un musicista?

What inspired you to become a musician?

Mia madre: mi ha insegnato che i sogni si vivono tutti i giorni nelle piccole cose. Perciò ho pensato che il modo migliore per far vivere, trasmettere e fermare le emozioni fosse creare canzoni. All'inizio era un gioco, dopo è diventato un gioco fatto sul serio.

My mother: she taught me that dreams are lived every day in small things. So I thought the best way to make people live, transmit and stop emotions was to create songs. At first it was a game, after that it became a serious game.

Quanti anni avevi quando hai iniziato a suonare?

How old were you when you started playing (music)?

13 anni, ero alle medie e per "invidia" nei confronti di alcuni amici ho deciso di imparare a suonare la chitarra, anche per poter suonare le canzoni dei Green Day, che all'epoca erano il mio gruppo preferito.

13 years old, I was in middle school and out of "envy" towards some friends I decided to learn to play guitar, also in order to play the songs of Green Day, which at the time were my favorite group.

Come descriveresti la tua musica?

How would you describe your music?

Simpatica, divertente. Cerco di dare alla mia musica sempre un aspetto allegro e spensierato, leggero e fruibile anche quando tocca argomenti importanti, umani, universali. Mi piace che ci sia sempre sotto un pensiero, una riflessione che ti fa aggrottare le sopracciglia e corrucciare la fronte, ma che allo stesso tempo ti strappa un sorriso.

Nice, funny. I try to give my music always a cheerful and carefree look, light and usable even when it touches on important, human, universal topics. I like that there is always under a thought, a reflection that makes you frown and corrugate your forehead, but that at the same time tears you a smile.

Dove ti sei esibito? Hai dei prossimi concerti?

Where have you performed? Do you have any upcoming shows?

Mi ritengo estremamente fortunato per i contesti in cui ho potuto esibirmi: palchi nazionali, teatri, feste di paese...ogni occasione è stata importante e la ricordo con piacere: dalla Toscana all'Emilia a Milano a Genova e Sanremo...ogni tappa mi ha lasciato qualcosa di sè e mi ricorda un momento del mio percorso artistico. Al momento, data la contingenza socio-umanitaria, mi sto esibendo online, perciò invito tutti a seguirmi sui miei profilo social, dove saranno fruibili le mie esibizioni nelle prossime settimane. E' in corso l'organizzazione di alcuni eventi "live" nel senso classico del termine per i prossimi mesi, ma i dettagli sono ancora da definirsi in base all'andamento del COVID.

I consider myself extremely lucky for the contexts in which I was able to perform- national stages, theaters, village parties... every occasion was important and I remember it with pleasure: from Tuscany to Emilia to Milan to Genoa and Sanremo... each stage left me something of itself and reminds me of a moment in my artistic journey. At the moment, given the socio-humanitarian contingency, I am performing online, so I invite everyone to follow me on my social media profiles, where my performances will be usable in the coming weeks. Some "live" events are being organized in the classic sense of the term for the coming months, but the details are still to be defined according to the trend of COVID.

Dov'è il luogo del tuo concerto ideale?

Where is your ideal place to perform?

Il mio salotto, dove le mie canzoni nascono. Mi piacerebbe portare il maggior numero possibile di amici a sentire le canzoni così come sono nate, laddove sono nate. Per questo mi piace spesso, in occasione tanto di dirette Instagram quanto di contest canori o ospitate in radio o eventi live, proporre alcuni miei brani in versione acustica: nudi e crudi come sono "usciti dalla penna" in quelle ore in cui sono nati.

My living room, where my songs are born. I'd like to get as many friends as possible to hear the songs as they were born, where they were born. For this reason, I often like, on the occasion of both live Instagram and singing contests or hosted on radio or live events, to propose some of my songs in acoustic version: naked and raw as they "came out of the pen" in those hours when they were born.

What is your favorite song to perform?

L'ultima che ho scritto, perché è quella più fresca, più recente, legata ad emozioni più vive e a una maggior necessità di comunicarmi e "farmi sentire".

The last one I wrote, because it is the freshest, most recent, linked to more lively emotions and a greater need to communicate and "make me feel".

Quali musicisti famosi ammiri?

Which famous musicians do you admire?

Ed Sheeran, amante del songwriting, Ryan Tedder, persona umanamente splendida e genuina nonostante la fama, Justin Bieber, timbro vocale dalle sfumature magiche, Demi Lovato, una donna che si racconta sul palco. E ovviamente tanti altri.

Qual è il miglior consiglio che ti è stato dato?

What is the best advice you’ve been given?

Quello di studiare canto, in quanto la voce è il principale strumento di espressione del songwriter, e la canzone nasce meglio, vive e si esprime piè spontaneamente e fluidamente se si è padroni dello strumento da cui passa. Studiare canto è un po' come per un pittore andare a cercare le migliori tele e i migliori pennelli.

That of studying singing, as the voice is the main instrument of expression of the songwriter, and the song is born better, lives and expresses itself spontaneously and fluidly sand you are masters of the instrument from which it passes. Studying singing is a bit like a painter going looking for the best canvases and brushes.

Se potessi cambiare qualcosa nel settore della musica, quale sarebbe?

If you could change something about the Music Industry, what would it be?

I costi: sono proibitivi per molti ragazzi di talento: i costi delle produzioni, delle basi, degli arrangiamenti, delle scuole di musica...la musica deve poter essere di tutti e chiunque sia desideroso, pieno di passione e di idee, deve poter far sentire la propria musica, deve potersi far ascoltare.

The costs: they are prohibitive for many talented children: the costs of productions, basics, arrangements, music schools... music must be able to be everyone's and anyone who is eager, full of passion and ideas, must be able to make their music heard, must be able to make themselves heard.

Qual è un messaggio che vorresti dare ai tuoi fan?

What is a message you would like to give to your fans?

Grazie per esserci sempre stati, la mia musica è per voi e senza di voi non la farei, perchè per me le canzoni sono storie raccontate in un dialogo. Le canzoni non esisterebbero senza di voi, le canzoni le fate vivere voi, le canzoni SIETE voi.

Thank you for always being there, my music is for you and without you I would not do it, because for me, the songs are stories told in a dialogue. The songs wouldn't exist without you, the songs make them live you, the songs ARE you.

What’s next for you?

In questi mesi usciranno, a distanza di qualche settimana, diversi singoli a cui sto lavorando da un po'. Mi sono messo in gioco e mi sono messo a nudo, ed ho sperimentato parecchio, perciò sono davvero curioso di ciò che succederà.

In these months, after a few weeks, several singles will come out that I have been working on for a while. I got involved and got naked, and I experimented a lot, so I'm really curious about what's going to happen.
