Salvatore Lo Presti è un pianista e compositore italiano di Grotte in provincia di Agrigento. Durante la sua infanzia fu subito affascinato dalla musica classica; quindi, ha iniziato a studiare pianoforte all'età di otto anni. Salvatore si è laureato in pianoforte nel 2018 e ha iniziato a comporre e pubblicare musica. Ama la musica di compositori moderni come Ólafur Arnalds e Max Richter. Salvatore è arrivato in finale al Concorso Internazionale di Composizione "Maurice Ravel", ottenendo una menzione speciale della giuria per il suo lavoro. Nel giugno 2020 è entrato a far parte dell'etichetta discografica INRI CLASSIC.
L'ultimo singolo di Salvatore, "Between Two Stars", è stato pubblicato il 14 dicembre 2020.
Salvatore Lo Presti is an Italian pianist and composer from Grotte in the province of Agrigento. During his childhood, he was immediately fascinated by classical music; therefore, he began studying piano at the age of eight. Salvatore graduated in piano in 2018, as well as started composing and publishing music. He loves the music of modern composers such as Ólafur Arnalds and Max Richter. Salvatore reached the final at the "Maurice Ravel" International Composition Competition, obtaining a special mention from the jury for his work. In June 2020, he joined the INRI CLASSIC record label.
Salvatore’s latest single, “Between Two Stars,” was released on December 14, 2020.
Cosa ti ha ispirato a diventare un musicista?
What inspired you to become a musician?
È iniziato tutto da bambino per pura curiosità, ma a poco a poco, ascoltando i grandi maestri del passato come Mozart o Bach, me ne sono innamorato. Un'Influenza molto classica e successivamente anche moderna.
It all started as a child out of pure curiosity, but little by little, listening to the great masters of the past like Mozart or Bach, I fell in love with them. A very classical and later also modern Influence.
Quanti anni avevi quando hai iniziato a suonare?
How old were you when you started playing (music)?
Ho iniziato alla tenera età di otto anni, entrando qualche anno dopo al Conservatorio, riuscendo a laurearmi in Pianoforte dopo diversi anni di studio e sacrificio.
I started at the tender age of eight, entering the Conservatory a few years later, managing to graduate in Piano after several years of study and sacrifice.
Come descriveresti la tua musica?
How would you describe your music?
La mia musica è molto malinconica, triste e meditativa. Mi piace usare il suono degli archi combinato con quello del pianoforte. Adoro la musica per immagini, cinematografica.
My music is very melancholy, sad and meditative. I like to use the sound of the strings combined with that of the piano. I love picture music, cinematic.
Dove ti sei esibito? Hai dei prossimi concerti?
Where have you performed? Do you have any upcoming shows?
Non ho avuto ancora il piacere di tenere un concerto con l'esecuzione dei miei brani, sarà forse che sono uno che preferisce scrivere la musica e offrirla agli ascoltatori attraverso le varie piattaforme digitali. Chissà magari in futuro potrei cambiare idea.
I have not yet had the pleasure of holding a concert with the performance of my songs, it may be that I am one who prefers to write music and offer it to listeners through various digital platforms. Who knows maybe in the future I might change my mind.
Dov'è il luogo del tuo concerto ideale?
Where is your ideal place to perform?
Non vi è un luogo ideale, però se dovessi scegliere direi Islanda, un paese meraviglioso che non ho mai visitato ma che è stata fonte di creazione di diversi miei brani.
There is no ideal place, but if I had to choose, I would say Iceland, a wonderful country that I have never visited but which has been the source of many of my songs
Qual è la tua canzone preferita da esibire?
What is your favorite song to perform?
Sono tutte speciali, una in particolare sarebbe "Sophie's Lullaby", il mio singolo firmato Inri Classic.
They are all special, one in particular would be "Sophie's Lullaby", my single from Inri Classic.
Quali musicisti famosi ammiri?
Which famous musicians do you admire?
Ammiro profondamente compositori moderni quali Olafur Arnalds, Max Richter e Hans Zimmer, fonte di ispirazione, ma anche tantissimi altri validi Maestri.
I deeply admire modern composers such as Olafur Arnalds, Max Richter and Hans Zimmer, source of inspiration, but also many other valid masters.
Qual è il miglior consiglio che ti è stato dato?
What is the best advice you’ve been given?
Di non mollare mai, anche quando tutto sembra essere inutile, e di cercare il coraggio e la forza di andare avanti.
To never give up, even when everything seems useless, and to seek the courage and strength to go on.
Se potessi cambiare qualcosa nel settore della musica, quale sarebbe?
If you could change something about the Music Industry, what would it be?
Purtroppo, il settore della musica è sottovalutato, bisognerebbe investire di più sull'arte, in particolare su tutto il mondo che racchiude la musica.
Unfortunately, the music sector is underestimated, we should invest more in art, in particular on the whole world that encompasses music.
Qual è un messaggio che vorresti dare ai tuoi fan?
What is a message you would like to give to your fans?
Li ringrazio vivamente nell'aver ascoltato, condiviso e amato i miei brani. Quando ti ringraziamo per la musica che componi, per le sensazioni che suscitano in loro, non puoi che ritenerti fortunato.
I warmly thank them for listening, sharing and loving my songs. When they thank you for the music you compose, for the sensations they arouse in them, you can only consider yourself lucky.
