Born in 1998, Giuseppe Blasco, also known as “Jeppy,” is an Italian singer-songwriter from Nicosia. His style mixes catchy pop melodies with various genres such as rap, punk, rock and indie, and making music is his outlet. From an early age, he became passionate about music through the need to write and transmit his inner world, putting its words in a sequence of notes that would remain immortal over time.
In 2016, Jeppy opened a concert at Lortex in Naples at the music Melody bar, where he meets artists such as Lortex himself, Cannella, and Liner. After releasing several singles on YouTube, in 2021 he began his real musical career and published his first official single, "Nell'attimo dopo di un addio," an indie pop song available on all digital stores, which exceeded 120,000 plays.
Jeppy's music is greatly appreciated by critics and by exponents of artists and colleagues such as Thomas Cheval and jjjanax, Verdiana from "Le Deva," and Nisba. His single "Lettera per te," shortly reached more than 60,000 plays on Spotify after its release. It is a pop song with a fresh and contemporary sound. He was named first artist of the week by the Sing'n'social Music Community. His single, “disincanto totale,” released in October 2021, saw a collaboration with the Brucaliffo Studio, which was very popular on YouTube.

What inspired you to become a musician?

The main reason why I started composing music is certainly the need to write, to transmit something of my own and give vent to what I kept inside is always the main reason and then mainly I like to tell a story with each piece as if I was a storyteller 3.0.

I started recording my pieces by myself in my bedroom at the age of 16, writing instead at around 13.

How would you describe your music?

It is a continuous experiment, a mix of many genres the rapped bars of the hip hop world, the musicality, and melodies of pop, I also like punk and the strength of rock. Let's say I like to use different elements of all kinds here.

Each of my songs is like a son it would be like asking a father which son he prefers. They are all my favorites; each one has its own particular motifs and aspects.

I really like Italian pop like Eros Ramazzotti and also the new artists like Nesli and GionnyScandal who inspire me. Internationally, I really like the Maroon 5s.

To work always and always and take criticism as an advantage and to push yourself more and more to do better.
