LeOnde è un progetto solista del musicista indipendente Paolo Castriconi. Classe 1984, l'artista del Monte Argentario è l'ex frontman dei Vanz, una band punk rock italiana con 3 album, così come la band, The Longboarders.
LeOnde ha iniziato il suo percorso nel 2018, “non sono una vera band, non sono un collettivo composto da più musicisti, sono più che altro un cantiere musicale aperto”. Ha poi pubblicato il suo primo singolo dal progetto, "Non esiste niente", nel 2019, seguito da "Vanda", "Il mondo dimentica", "Ilaria" e "Porci Mascherati" nel 2020.
Il 24 ottobre 2021, LeOnde ha pubblicato "Volume Uno", il primo EP del progetto, contenente le 5 canzoni già pubblicate in precedenza e l'inedito "Cancelletto", il nuovo singolo dell'EP.
LeOnde is a solo project by Indie Musician, Paolo Castriconi. Born in 1984, the artist from Monte Argentario is the former frontman of Vanz, an Italian punk rock band with 3 albums, as well as the band, The Longboarders.
LeOnde began his journey in 2018, “they are not a real band, they are not a collective made up of several musicians, they are more than anything else an open musical yard.” He then released his first single from the project, “Non esiste Niente,” in 2019, followed by “Vanda,” “Il mondo dimentica,” “Ilaria,” and “Porci Mascherati,” in 2020.
On October 24, 2021, LeOnde released "Volume Uno," the project’s first EP, containing the 5 songs already published previously as well as the unreleased, "Cancelletto," the new single from the EP.

What inspired you to become a musician?
Credo sia stata la grande emozione che mi ha sempre trasmesso, soprattutto quando ancora non sapevo riportarla su di uno strumento e la percepivo solo come una scarica di energia.
I think it was the great emotion that has always transmitted to me, especially when I still did not know how to bring it back to an instrument and I perceived it only as a discharge of energy.

How old were you when you started playing (music)?
Ho preso le prime lezioni di musica a 14 anni ma nella mia testa pensavo di aver già iniziato da anni suonando la batteria sul divano di casa, cercando di imitare le rullate di Dookie.
I took my first music lessons at 14 but in my head, I thought I had already started playing drums on the sofa at home for years, trying to imitate Dookie's rolls.
Come descriveresti la tua musica?
How would you describe your music?
Melodica e irriverente, non riesco a scindere la musica dalla melodia per quanto rock sia. Irriverente perché nei testi non riesco a essere convenzionale mai.
Melodic and irreverent, I can't separate the music from the melody, however rock it is. Irreverent because in the lyrics I can never be conventional.

Where have you performed? Do you have any upcoming shows?
Il progetto LeOnde è puramente "solista" non ho ancora mai suonato questi pezzi con nessuno, per me non sono una band ma un progetto sperimentale. Ho registrato un demo suonando tutti gli strumenti e poi è stato prodotto in studio con altri musicisti in multitraccia; quindi, non ho neanche mai fatto delle prove con nessuno.
Con la mia band storica i "VANZ" abbiamo suonato sia in Italia che in Inghilterra e in Spagna anche supportando molte band come Punkreas, Verdena, Giuda, Shandon, ecc. magari anche per il progetto LeOnde in futuro ci saranno delle esibizioni dal vivo. Vedremo.
The LeOnde project is purely "solo" I have never played these pieces with anyone yet, for me they are not a band but an experimental project. I recorded a demo playing all the instruments and then it was produced in the studio with other musicians in multitrack, so I never even rehearsed with anyone.
With my historical band "VANZ" we have played both in Italy and in England and in Spain also supporting many bands like Punkreas, Verdena, Giuda, Shandon etc. maybe even for the LeOnde project there will be live performances in the future. we will see.
Dov'è il luogo del tuo concerto ideale?
Where would your ideal concert be?
I luoghi che preferisco sono i locali di media capienza perché si riesce ad avere tanta gente davanti ma non perdi il feeling con il pubblico, riesci a sentirti in una situazione divertente che ti coinvolge. I festival all'aperto sono belli per il contorno ma troppo dispersivi.
My favorite places are medium-sized clubs because you can have a lot of people in front of you, but you don't lose the feeling with the public, you can feel yourself in a fun situation that involves you. Open-air festivals are nice for the outline but too distracting.

What is your favorite song to perform?
Come ho detto non ho ancora valutato la possibilità di iniziare a portare in giro il progetto dal vivo ma credo che sarebbe "Non esiste niente".
As I said I have not yet considered the possibility of starting to carry the project around live, but I think it would be "Non esiste niente."

Non restare nella tua comfort zone.

Se potessi cambiare qualcosa nel settore della musica, quale sarebbe?
If you could change something about the Music Industry, what would it be?
Eliminerei i talent show e vieterei i telefoni ai concerti.
I would eliminate talent shows and ban phones at concerts.
Qual è un messaggio che vorresti dare ai tuoi fan?
What is a message you would like to give to your fans?
Non omologarsi e sfruttare al massimo le proprie opportunità, non accontentarsi, viaggiare tanto prima di tutto dentro sé stessi e una volta capito cosa vogliamo dalla nostra vita non mollare di un passo.
Not to homologate and make the most of your opportunities, not to be satisfied, to travel inside yourself first, and once you understand what we want from our life, don't give up a step.

Ne ho troppi, per quanto riguarda LeOnde, ho una montagna di demo registrati da cui attingere per un eventuale Volume due e magari creare una versione live di “Volume Uno.”
Gli altri sono far uscire un nuovo disco dei VANZ (band punk rock che ho fondato nel 2002) che è già stato registrato e prodotto da Olly Riva degli Shandon/Magnetics e un EP dei Longboarders (altra mia band 50's Rock n Roll dal 2016).
I have too many, as far as LeOnde is concerned, I have a mountain of recorded demos to draw from for a possible Volume Two and maybe create a live version of “Volume Uno.”
The others are to release a new record by VANZ (punk rock band I founded in 2002) which has already been recorded and produced by Olly Riva of Shandon/Magnetics and an EP by Longboarders (my other 50's Rock n Roll band since 2016).
