Lorenzo Palmeri è un designer, architetto e musicista multidisciplinare. Si occupa di design ed è attivo nei campi del design, dell'architettura, della direzione artistica, dell'insegnamento, della composizione e della produzione musicale. Tra i suoi maestri Bruno Munari e Isao Hosoe, collabora da diversi anni. Ha disegnato case, chitarre, lampade, vasi, tavoli e cioccolatini.
Dal 1997 Palmeri insegna nelle più rinomate scuole di design nazionali e internazionali. Le sue opere sono state inoltre esposte in numerose mostre collettive e personali e ha vinto importanti premi nazionali e internazionali. Nel 2017 è stato nominato tra gli "Ambasciatori del Design Italiano" nell'ambito dell'Italian Design Day. In campo musicale ha scritto colonne sonore per il teatro e installazioni.
Nel 2009 Palmeri pubblica l'album "Preparativi per la pioggia", con la collaborazione di Saturnino, Andy e Franco Battiato, con cui duetta nel brano “Qualsiasi spinta”. Alla fine del 2014 esce “Erbamatta”, il suo secondo album che contiene il brano “Memorie selettive”, scritto insieme a Pacifico. Nel 2019 esce il suo terzo album, “La natura del parafulmine”, che vanta collaborazioni con Saturnino e Simon Tong.
Il quarto album di Lorenzo, "4 (Crediti Cosmici Dance Floor)" è uscito l'8 novembre, ed è stato anticipato dal singolo "Tutte le strade del mondo".
Lorenzo Palmeri is a multidisciplinary designer, architect, and musician. He deals with design and is active in the fields of design, architecture, art direction, teaching, composition, and music production. Between his masters Bruno Munari and Isao Hosoe, he has been collaborating for several years. He has designed houses, guitars, lamps, vases, tables, and chocolates.
Since 1997, Palmeri has taught at the most renowned national and international design schools. His works have also been exhibited in numerous group and solo exhibitions, and he has won important national and international awards. In 2017 he was nominated among the "Ambassadors of Italian Design" as part of Italian Design Day. In the field of music, he has written soundtracks for theater as well as installations.
In 2009, Palmeri released the album, "Preparativi per la pioggia," with the collaboration of Saturnino, Andy, and Franco Battiato, with whom he duets with in the song, “Qualsiasi spinta.” At the end of 2014, “Erbamatta” was released, his second album that contains the song, “Memorie selettive,” written together with Pacifico. What inspired you to become a musician?
Domanda difficilissima. Non saprei dire con sicurezza. Forse la voglia di dare corpo a certe immagini e suoni che mi attraversavano e continuano ad attraversarmi.
Very difficult question. I can't say for sure. Perhaps the desire to give body to certain images and sounds that passed through me and continue to pass through me.

Nella mia testa dalla nascita. Con una tastiera arrivata in casa intorno agli 8/10 anni. A studiare il pianoforte direi 14 anni.

Ho suonato in tanti posti speciali, come la Triennale di Milano o il Teatro Arcimboldi. Sono in arrivo alcune date, che spero potrò comunicare al più presto.
I have played in many special places, such as the Milan Triennale or the Arcimboldi Theater. Some dates are coming, which I hope I will be able to communicate as soon as possible.

Cambio spesso idea su questo punto. Diciamo che mi piace l’idea di adattarmi al luogo.

Anche su questo cambio spesso idea. In questo periodo “ghost in translation”, “tutte le strade del mondo” che sono canzoni nuove e poi “fili elettrici”, “Precario”, “venerdì” che arrivano da dischi precedenti.
