Italian artist Pianista Indie released his first single, “Urologia,” on July 26, 2018. The song immediately gained great visibility on digital stores. From that first release, there was a succession of further singles increasing the artist's visibility: “Zara,” that November, “Fabio” in February of 2019, “Riviera” that June, followed by “Ti Amo Ma” in November. He performed a live tour, which culminated in October with a performance at Milan Music Week. After that, he released his first EP, “_TO BIT OR NOT TO BIT,” on November 22, 2019, which was anticipated by the single, “Lucio Dalla.”
Pianista Indie has shown a natural propensity for the stage, so much so that his live performances are a success and for the winter of 2020, a tour was organized in the live clubs. The first stop was the opening of the Gio Evan concert at the Fuori Orario in Reggio Emilia. After about twenty shows, the tour was suspended due to the pandemic, which led the artist, who had planned the publication of new songs, to close himself in isolation, deciding to disappear and not communicate. In this time, he read, watched films, wrote a lot of music, including a soundtrack that will flow into the film “LIFE,” shot in March 2021.
2021 started as a year of rebirth after Pianista Indie was forced to stop. This restart was entrusted to the first two singles and videos of the “LIFE” trilogy, “Kubrick,” released on May 28th and “Ciao” on July 16, with Fenix Music, while simultaneously opening concerts for Bugo. He ended the year with the single, “Squid Game,” released on December 10.
2022 started with Pianista Indie’s release, “PATAGONIA,” in January, closing the “LIFE” trilogy, which is a large, conceptual, and visionary project signed by the direction of Pierluigi Patella. The full video is available on YouTube. This was followed by “La Droga,” in February, and his latest single, “Non Fare Il Cremlino,” was released on March 15.

What inspired you to become a musician?

Thinking about it, I don't remember a life without a piano. Without music. I never became a musician; I think I always have been. Then when I was 16, I decided I wanted to perform on stages, and it all started from there.
A pensarci bene non ricordo una vita senza pianoforte. Senza musica. Non sono mai diventato un musicista, credo di esserlo sempre stato. Poi a 16 anni ho deciso che volevo esibirmi sui palchi e da lì è iniziato tutto.
How old were you when you started playing (music)?

I started playing the piano at 6 years old. My parents took me to class, and I haven't stopped since. At first, I was not enthusiastic about it. I didn't like solfeggio. Then I understood the gift I had unknowingly received.
Ho iniziato a suonare il pianoforte a 6 anni. I miei genitori mi portarono a lezione e da allora non ho più smesso. All’inizio non ne ero entusiasta. Non mi piaceva il solfeggio. Poi ho capito il dono che avevo inconsapevolmente ricevuto.

I tell you but you don't know this wonderful place. I would like to play in the “valle di femmina morta,” on the Majella, in the plain that leads to Monte Amaro. It is an extraordinary place where I have often been. It seems to be on the moon at 2000 meters high.

I wouldn't change anything. Things take their course and rightly so. I feel comfortable in this world of music.

2022 will be the year of new songs, I will publish several. Also, soon I will be back to play live. I just wrote and released the soundtrack of a feature film, it's called “LIFE”. I would say that I have made my fill of projects.
