Born in 1979, Pietro Panetta is an Italian artist who was born in Locri, moving to Lombardy with his family at the age of 3. Passionate about music from an early age, his first step in the industry was as a disc jockey playing in clubs around his area, also composing some techno songs. In the mid-90s, having only partially lost his interest in electronic music, he began to appreciate rock and metal sounds, during discovering the music of Nirvana. It was Cobain's songs that pushed him to want to learn how to play the guitar, an instrument that he will not abandon over the years. This started the period of teaching himself how to play, bands practicing in the cellar, contrasts, and his first songs.
Looking for an outlet to express his creativity, Pietro attended school for web design and advertising graphics, and opened an advertising and event organization agency after completing, allowing him over the years, to come into contact with many artists operating in the nightlife of the Lake Garda area. During this time, he also began his collaboration with the Sound Management Corporation, a record label with whom he recorded some singles between 2014 and 2016: “La Patata,” “Aprile,” and “Siamo Noi”. He was also entrusted with the management of the Dance Chart, one of the novelties of the 2015/16 season of Roby Laville's Feelthe90 Salotto, a broadcast available in both television and radio formats with more than ten years of active episodes. Previously, he made himself known inside Salotto by participating in the Music Free, a space dedicated to emerging artists. Subsequently he participates in the Video Contest of Salotto, winning third place.
In the 2016/17 season, Pietro conducted Dance 4 You, alongside DJ Ave, the radio format of Radio Live Music. In December 2017, he finished recording his debut album, “Zero in Condotta”, in Studio Nost Nolli in Vobarno (BS). In the summer of 2019, he published a new song entitled "Blues Calabro," dedicated to his land, followed by “Buon Natale,” an EP of 4 songs sung together with the Cantores Group and Nell Precious, also creating an English language version. In the winter of 2020, he released "Borderline," followed by "Voglio Andare al Mare," that summer. His new album is currently in production and should be released in the summer of 2022.

Appassionato di musica fin da piccolo, il suo primo passo nel settore è stato come disc jockey suonando nei club nella sua zona, componendo anche alcune canzoni techno. Alla ricerca di uno sbocco per esprimere la sua creatività, Pietro ha frequentato la scuola di web design e grafica pubblicitaria, e dopo aver completato, ha aperto un'agenzia di pubblicità e organizzazione di eventi, permettendogli negli anni, di entrare in contatto con molti artisti operanti nella movida del Lago zona gardesana. In questo periodo inizia anche la sua collaborazione con la Sound Management Corporation, etichetta discografica con la quale ha inciso alcuni singoli tra il 2014 e il 2016: “La Patata”, “Aprile” e “Siamo Noi”. A lui è stata inoltre affidata la gestione della Dance Chart, una delle novità della stagione 2015/16 del Feelthe90 Salotto di Roby Laville, trasmissione disponibile sia in formato televisivo che radiofonico con più di dieci anni di puntate attive. In precedenza, si è fatto conoscere all'interno del Salotto partecipando al Music Free, spazio dedicato agli artisti emergenti. Successivamente partecipa al Video Contest del Salotto, aggiudicandosi il terzo posto.
Nella stagione 2016/17 ha condotto Dance 4 You, insieme a DJ Ave, il format radiofonico di Radio Live Music. A dicembre 2017 ha terminato le registrazioni del suo album di debutto, “Zero in Condotta”, presso lo Studio Nost Nolli di Vobarno (BS). Nell'estate del 2019 ha pubblicato un nuovo brano intitolato "Blues Calabro", dedicato alla sua terra, seguito da "Buon Natale", un EP di 4 brani cantati insieme al Gruppo Cantores e Nell Precious, realizzando anche una versione in lingua inglese. Nell'inverno del 2020 ha pubblicato "Borderline", seguito quell'estate da "Voglio Andare al Mare". Il suo nuovo album è attualmente in produzione e dovrebbe uscire nell'estate del 2022.

What inspired you to become a musician?

Kurt Cobain's Music! When I was seventeen, I discovered Nirvana's music during a party in the mountains. Someone put "Come As You Are". Up until that point I had never been interested in musical genres that weren't electronic. The song grabbed me right away and I asked who they were. All in chorus replied: NIRVANA! I thought I was the only one on the face of the earth who didn't know it. A guy with a guitar said to me: “Come here and I'll teach you… It's only four notes…”. I went home and took my father's old guitar out of the closet and played that song for the next few days. Several years have passed since then, many pieces written and waiting to be published and a passion for this instrument that has never abandoned me.
La musica di Kurt Cobain! Quando avevo diciassette anni ho scoperto la musica dei Nirvana durante un festino sui monti. Qualcuno mise “Come As You Are”. Fino a quel momento non mi ero mai interessato a generi musicali che non fossero elettronici. Il brano mi catturò subito e chiesi chi fossero. Tutti in coro risposero: NIRVANA! Pensai di essere l’unico sulla faccia della terra a non saperlo. Un ragazzo con la chitarra mi disse: “Vieni qui che te la insegno… Sono solo quattro note…”. Tornai a casa e tirai fuori dall’armadio la vecchia chitarra di mio padre e suonai quel brano per i giorni a seguire. Da lì sono passati diversi anni, tanti brani scritti e in attesa di essere pubblicati ed una passione per questo strumento che non mi ha più abbandonato.
How old were you when you started playing (music)?
Quanti anni avevi quando hai iniziato a suonare?
I have been passionate about music for as long as I can remember. As a child I used an old double cassette tape player to make rudimentary montages by gluing small pieces of music by different artists. Then REC and STOP and then into another cassette and again another REC and STOP ... And so on ... Needless to say, the result was something unlistenable, but I had a lot of fun. In sixth grade I started studying flute and then also reading notes and at the same time started using a little computer program that allowed to make electronic music. I remember spending whole days there.
Sono appassionato di musica fin da quando ho ricordo. Da bambino utilizzavo un vecchio mangianastri a doppia cassetta per fare dei montaggi rudimentali incollando piccoli pezzi di musica di artisti diversi. Quindi REC e STOP e poi dentro un’altra cassetta e nuovamente un altro REC e STOP… E così via… Inutile dire che il risultato era qualcosa di inascoltabile ma io mi divertivo un mondo. In prima media ho iniziato a studiare flauto e quindi anche a leggere le note e contemporaneamente inizia ad usare un programmino per computer che permetteva di fare musica elettronica. Ricordo che ci passavo le giornate intere.
How would you describe your music?
Come descriveresti la tua musica?
I would describe my music as a bit raw but sincere and instinctive. I think it perfectly reflects my character, my way of seeing things and it's my favorite musical genre.
La mia musica la descriverei un po’ grezza ma sincera ed istintiva. Credo che rispecchi perfettamente il mio carattere, il mio modo di vedere le cose e poi è il genere musicale che preferisco.

For now, I have performed in several clubs in my area. At the moment I have no dates scheduled.

The ideal place is definitely the brewery! Maybe I have always been a frequent visitor to breweries. I like the environment and the climate that is created. I would certainly also like the atmosphere that is created in a stadium ...

What is your favorite song to perform?

Which famous musicians do you admire?

The first that comes to mind is definitely Vasco Rossi. Vasco is an artist with whom I identify in some ways. I find that he is the Italian artist par excellence when it comes to rock and transgression. Over the years he has written a myriad of songs, each one more beautiful than the other. His way of singing and transmitting is unique. Another artist that I respect a lot is Tiziano Ferro. Tiziano has a crazy, powerful, and deep voice and has written many beautiful songs. If we move to the female scene, my first choice would certainly fall on Alessandra Amoroso. Again, I find she has a crazy voice. And then there would also be Fiorella Mannoia, a great Italian musician.
Il primo che mi viene in mente è sicuramente Vasco Rossi. Vasco è un artista con cui mi identifico per certi versi. Trovo che sia l’artista italiano per eccellenza se si parla di rock e trasgressione. Nel corso degli anni ha scritto una miriade di brani uno più bello dell’altro. Il suo modo di cantare e di trasmettere è unico. Un altro artista che stimo molto è Tiziano Ferro. Tiziano ha una voce pazzesca, potente e profonda e ha scritto molti brani bellissimi. Se ci spostiamo nel panorama femminile, la mia prima scelta cadrebbe sicuramente su Alessandra Amoroso. Anche in questo caso, trovo che abbia una voce pazzesca. E poi ci sarebbe anche Fiorella Mannoia, una grande della musica italiana.
What is the best advice you’ve been given?

If you could change something about the Music Industry, what would it be?

What is a message you would like to give to your fans?
Qual è un messaggio che vorresti dare ai tuoi fan?
I would like to tell everyone to put aside the excuses that do not allow you to take off and to silence the fears that are holding you back. Enjoy life without worries, be crazy but whole and always keep your head on your shoulders. Let yourself be carried away by the current and let go of everything else, what cannot be changed or controlled always passes quickly. Don't stop at appearances and always think with your head. Do not take for granted what is imposed on you as absolute truth, prepackaged dogmas, paths already trodden, false moralisms. Open your mind, find your truth and don't conform to society. Be unique!
Vorrei dire a tutti di mettere da parte le scuse che non vi permettono di decollare e di mettere a tacere le paure che vi frenano. Godetevi la vita senza pensieri, siate pazzi ma integri e tenete sempre la testa sulle spalle. Fatevi trasportare dalla corrente e lasciate andare tutto il resto, quello che non si può cambiare o controllare passa sempre alla svelta. Non fermatevi alle apparenze e pensate sempre con la vostra testa. Non prendete per buono quello che vi viene imposto come verità assoluta, dogmi preconfezionati, strade già battute, falsi moralismi. What’s next for you?
Qual è il prossimo per te?
At the moment I'm working on the new album which will contain some of the latest released singles and other unreleased tracks. I am not yet able to hypothesize a release date, but I believe that before the beginning of the summer it could be ready for digital distribution. This new release will be in line with my style and with what has been published so far, so nothing revolutionary, just me. I do not rule out that there may be one or two singles coming out while waiting.
Al momento sto lavorando al nuovo album che conterrà alcuni degli ultimi singoli pubblicati e altri brani inediti. Non sono ancora in grado di ipotizzare una data per l’uscita ma credo che prima dell’inizio dell’estate potrebbe essere pronto per la distribuzione digitale. Questa nuova uscita sarà in linea con il mio stile e con quanto pubblicato fino adesso, quindi nulla di rivoluzionario, semplicemente me. Non escludo che ci potrebbe essere uno o due singoli in uscita nell’attesa.
