Mother and daughter duo, Rita Clerico and Anastasia Bruno from Cuneo, recently teamed together to release the single, “Se Tu Mi Ascolti,” with The Palma Music. Anastasia, working towards her graphic high school diploma, recently reached the finals of a national graphic competition on behalf of Cara Adozione. Rita is a nurse paralleling her life as a singer and in their family, they all share the passion for music, which accompanies moments of joy, sadness, loneliness, and company. Together, they also participated in courses at the center of Maestro Mogol, where a song dedicated to the children sparked a lot of emotion from the public, perhaps precisely because it was true in its expression. It is here is that their passion of singing in a duet was strengthened.
Il duo madre e figlia, Rita Clerico e Anastasia Bruno di Cuneo, hanno recentemente collaborato per pubblicare il singolo "Se Tu Mi Ascolti", con The Palma Music. Anastasia, in attesa del diploma di maturità grafica, ha recentemente raggiunto la finale di un concorso nazionale di grafica per conto di Cara Adozione. Rita è un'infermiera parallela alla sua vita di cantante e nella loro famiglia, condividono tutti la passione per la musica, che accompagna i momenti di gioia, tristezza, solitudine e compagnia. Insieme hanno anche partecipato ai corsi presso il centro del Maestro Mogol, dove un brano dedicato ai bambini ha suscitato molta emozione nel pubblico, forse proprio perché era vero nella sua espressione. È qui che si è rafforzata la loro passione per il canto in duetto.
What inspired you to become a musician?

The love for music but also the breathing of her from an early age in the family helps to appreciate it more and more.
L'amore per la musica ma anche il respirare sin da piccolo in famiglia aiuta ad apprezzarla sempre di più.
How old were you when you started playing (music)?
Quanti anni avevi quando hai iniziato a suonare?
Anastasia: I started with some instruments when I was 6 to then focus on the violin.
Rita: in middle school the first approach to the accompaniment guitar that I have never left and thanks to it, even if I have no professional training, I have been able to baste my songs since I was a child.
Anastasia: ho iniziato con qualche strumento quando avevo 6 anni per soffermarmi poi sul violino.
Rita: alle medie il primo approccio con la chitarra accompagnamento che non ho lasciato più e grazie ad essa anche se non ho una formazione professionale, riesco ad imbastire i miei brani sin da bambina.
How would you describe your music?

Autobiographical, communicative, but I would like in some way to be able to focus on pop dance even if the dream would be a Gianna Nannini-style rock.

What is the best advice you’ve been given?

To follow the fashion of music, and then never try to imitate a singer if he is not a limiter, but to always customize the covers so as not to look like a rough copy in front of the fans of the singer whose cover you play.

Anastasia: I want deeper lyrics to be successful rather than songs with a melody and lyrics that cannot be listened to just because they are catchy.
